Jet's JSG-96OS (open stand) 6" x 48" belt / 9" disc sander is uncommonly versatile and especially designed for knock-out high-performance. The sander's large cast-iron table has positive stops at 90 and 45 degrees enabling the machine to perform anywhere from horizontal to completely vertical; it also allows for sanding both flat surfaces and mitered angles. The sander keeps belts precisely on track and allows for simple, accurate adjustments with a rubber coated drive drum, and exclusive dual thumbscrew tracking system. Additionally the sander's tracking adjustment knob (with a quick-lock handle) ensures your belts are tightly on track during even rigorous use. The machine's platen is built with graphite covered steel to run cooler, this consequently enhances the lives of both your belts and the sander itself. The sander's guard is uniquely designed for the most efficient use of the entire belt width and length, and with a quick-release belt tension lever, belt changes are consistently fast and simple.
