Delivers Better Results with a 3-Speed Design and Brushless Motor

Having a good impact driver in your power tool arsenal gives you a real leg up on your work load. These tools provide much higher torque while typically weighing less than a standard drill/driver. An impact driver gives you more driving power with less weight while also offering a low risk of stripping your screws. With long jobs ahead of you, these are life-saving benefits. Imagine these advantages combined with those of a 3-speed, brushless motor… The result is an impossibly powerful, totally efficient impact driver. More specifically, the result is Dewalt’s ultra-effective DCF895L2, a 1/4-inch brushless lithium ion impact driver.

The brushless motor in the DCF895L2 ensures maximum power and maximum battery run-time. Because less drag occurs within a brushless motor, less energy is wasted on its path to the business end of the tool. This gives you more energy in the tool’s output, consistently more torque (even under load), and longer run-time. Although you’re getting more power from the tool, because less energy is wasted between the battery and the business end, the battery holds its charge longer. Dewalt’s brushless impact driver additionally features a battery fuel gauge indicator to reflect the level of charge remaining in the pack and, though it’s still important to take good care of your power tools, brushless motors also lead to reduced maintenance. This puts the DCF895L2 among the highest-efficiency power tools in the industry.

Dewalt’s DCF895L2 features a three-speed design (between 0 – 2850 no load RPM) allowing you to match tool-speed to each application and its compact, lightweight design contributes to the tool’s overall versatility. Essentially, you can tackle any sized job in virtually any sized space. The tool’s push-button chuck allows for fast, one-handed accessory changes and thanks to the three LED lights around the chuck, the tool offers better visibility, too. The DCF895L2 includes Dewalt’s 1/4-inch brushless impact driver, two (2) 3.0AH 20V MAX lithium ion batteries, a fast charger, belt hook, accessory storage and a kit box.

Altogether, Dewalt’s DCF895L2 brushless impact driver kit is an incredible tool with unbeatable power and run-time. Though the tool is a bit more expensive than it’s brushed-motor counterparts, it offers time-saving benefits that quickly outweigh the cost. If you use your tools heavily, you’ll definitely appreciate the difference. Offering greater torque, bigger and more consistent power, and longer go-time in between charges, the DCF895L2 takes your efficiency to an entirely new level.

To put it simply, Makita tools are engineered for superior performance and that’s exactly what they deliver. Built with high-quality materials and second-to-none smarts, Makita equipment offers greater reliability and total high performance. It’s no mystery, then, that dust collection is better with Makita, too, and that their Xtract Vac auto filter cleaning system ensures powerful, practical, and hands-down better dust management.

Beginning with a powerful 12 AMP motor delivering 135 CFM of suction and 92-inches of water lift, Makita’s VC4710 jobsite vacuum is designed to handle the most challenging messes. The motor chamber is additionally constructed of superior quality materials to absorb sound ensuring the vac is as quiet as it powerful. Despite the large capacity of the vac, the thing is also built with sophisticated components to keep the overall weight of the machine low and portable. The VC4710 weighs only 27-lbs and with wide-set urethane wheels on its rear (this creates a low center a gravity) and enlarged steel casters on the its front wheels, the vac is stable and moves smooth and easy.

One of the coolest features of this new vac is its automatic filter cleaning system. In a nutshell, the vacuum incorporates a blow-back feature that, at timed intervals, clears the filters to keep them performing better and, yes, lasting longer. The blow-back flows through each filter separately without interrupting suction and minimizes the cost of both maintenance and filter replacement. The Xtract Vac also has an tool-activated outlet which allows you to start and stop the vac with your power tools – and – thanks to a perfectly timed 10-second shut-off delay, the hose clears itself of any remaining debris after your power tools have disengaged.

The vacuum also offers variable speeds giving you greater suction versatility and includes a soft-start mechanism for lower amp-draw at start-up. With the unit, Makita has also included a 24.6-foot cord and a 16-foot anti-static hose to ensure you have ample mobility and improved performance on the job. A cord reel, hose bracket and removable storage tray have also been integrated to improve efficiency and organization. The VC4710 includes a nano filter set which captures 99.95% of particles larger than 2 microns, but a HEPA filter set is also available. Altogether, the unit additionally includes a fleece nano filter bag, disposal bag, that 1-3/8-inch x 16-foot anti-static hose, a crevice nozzle and a cuff adapter.

The vacuum is a no-nonsense powerhouse with the ability to keep you cleaner and more organized on the job. It moves well, it works great and it truly makes your life easier.

Makita makes monstrously great tools and equipment, but they also make keeping your stuff in good repair easy, too. Accordingly, getting Makita parts is simple. If you need them, please let us help you find the replacement parts you need. Whether it’s parts for Makita VC4710 or parts for your favorite old drill, we can help you get exactly what you need.

       Dewalt’s DCR015 Worksite Charger Radio

Music is a universal unifier; it can be your best friend, your therapist, your muse or motivator and, simply put, it just makes the day go better. Dewalt understands that sometimes your tunes can be just as important as your tools and, accordingly, the DCR015 jobsite radio/charger is built to offer both incredible sound and fast battery charging capability. It’s portable, it’s durable and it meets the need for both good tunes and fully-juiced tools; two birds, one stone. Bam! Thanks, Dewalt.

To be a bit more specific, the DCR015 is a fully-loaded stereo system and a 2AMP battery charger. The thing features auxiliary and USB ports and includes an auxiliary cable for connection to CD, MP3, satellite receivers, and other digital audio devices. It’s compatible with Dewalt’s 12V Max and 20V Max battery packs and can deliver charge and pull charge from both voltages. In other words, though the radio/charger has dual AC outlets to pull electric power, it can also operate on cordless power from the same 12V Max and 20V Max batteries it charges. This allows you to either plug the unit into a wall, or to take it with you using cordless, rechargeable battery power.

In addition to offering MP3 (and etc) compatibility, the DCR015 also protects your devices with fully enclosed storage compartments. Electronic devices are protected from jobsite debris and all the other toughs that come along with jobsite life. The radio/charger also keeps itself protected from the rigors of the worksite with a fully integrated, 360-degree roll cage. In the event the unit drops, falls, tips, topples or whatever, it’s body design offers oops protection in the form of maximum shock absorption.

Lastly, and perhaps my favorite feature of the radio/charger, the DCR015 delivers clear, crisp beautiful sound. With a class D amplifier, woofers and tweeters, the stereo offers a full range of high-quality sounds as well as the volume control you need to keep the jam alive on the job. Allowing you to take your music, your mood, your motivation and your battery charger with you, the DCR015 is a better day wrapped up in 13-yellow-lbs.

Also! In addition to musical accompaniment, you might need some replacement tool parts on the job, too. If you need Dewalt parts for any of the power tools in your arsenal, let us help you find them. We’ve got tons of Dewalt parts on-hand and the experience to help you complete your power tool repairs. Give us a shout.

Setting a Whole New Standard For Professional Track Saws

Called Festool’s most evolved plunge cut saw ever, the Festool TS 55 REQ track saw takes advanced cutting, portability and superior results to an totally new level. While the tool offers the benefits of a compact circular saw (like light weight, portability, ease-of-use and etc), the TS 55 REQ is much better compared to the bigger daddies of industrial cutting – delivering precise and aggressive cuts like the best table saws, miter saws and panel saws, this track saw is the ultimate cutting machine and the ultimate solution to any cutting task.

Perhaps the most efficient and versatile feature of the new track saw cutting system is the included 55-inch Festool guide rail. The guide rail, or saw track, is simple to use and produces perfectly straight cuts in any material type. Acting as a guide and a zero-clearance surface, the guide rail allows you to place the blade (and keep the blade) exactly on the cut line regardless of the bevel setting. This produces totally accurate cuts that can be made quickly and virtually splinter-free. A replaceable splinter-guard additionally allows you to achieve super-smooth cuts on either side of the blade. Ingeniously, the saw is also built with a flat housing which allows you to make flush cuts against walls or other such adjacent surfaces.

The TS 55 REQ additionally features micro-adjustable depth controls for simple blade depth adjustments. This increases cutting safety and versatility while allowing you to expose only as much of the blade as is necessary for each cut. The plunging ability of the saw blade also increases your cutting versatility allowing you to start a cut at any point on your workpiece. This makes producing cut outs cleaner, faster and simpler and enhances your straight cuts as well. The tool’s spring-loaded riving knife (which retracts into the saw’s housing during plunge cuts) reduces kickback and enhances operator control. By keeping the cut kerf open, the riving knife prevents the cutting material from pinching against your blade and allows you to move more freely through each pass.

Of course, the circ saw also has variable speeds to ensure each application is met with the right amount of power and with advanced MMC Electronics, the saw also maintains constant speed under load. Accordingly, the saw delivers uncompromised cut quality while also keeping itself protected from strenuous jobs and thermal and current overload. The triple motor bearing also contributes to the longevity of the tool and the smoothness of the saw’s overall cutting action. The saw’s FastFix blade changing system locks the power switch and arbor while also locking the the saw into a position that makes the arbor bolt simpler to remove; altogether, this facilitates easier and faster saw blade changes.

Everyone knows that Festool makes gorgeous tools that are as advanced as they are smooth and easy to use. This is true, and an integral part of that Festool difference is their focus on superior dust collection. The TS 55 REQ features a rotating dust port that allow you to direct and redirect the position of the port. You can point dust away from your material, away from yourself and away from the saw for super-clean cuts and a clean work environment, too. Of course, the port can also attach to a dust extractor for truly superior, tool-triggered dust collection.

Festool’s TS 55 REQ track saw can basically do and cut anything. Making mincemeat of otherwise complex or difficult applications the track saw is ideal for breaking down sheet goods, producing glue-ready edges for joints, creating bevels and miters, cutting scribe lines and insets, cutting precise angles without complex calculations, producing smooth and safe crosscuts, plunge cutting and so much more. The thing is dibolically brilliant and provides a high-performance solution to virtually any cutting task.

It’s synchronized spinning and hammering of the drill bit pulverizes these tough materials like no other tool. In this powdered form, though, brick and concrete present two serious problems: (A) it contains silica, a carcinogen (or a cancer causing agent) and, (B) it makes a really big mess. Thankfully, Milwaukee has engineered an extraction kit designed to virtually eliminate the risks of both A and B.

The Milwaukee 2306-22 M12 HammerVac is a universal dust extractor designed to attach to any brand’s cordless hammer drill (including SDS plus rotary hammers and AC & DC hammer drills). Trapping debris at it’s source, the extractor minimizes the risk of inhaling harmful silica particles and eliminates the inevitable mess that results from pounding holes into concrete. That’s a pretty tall order, and the HammerVac not only fulfills it, but fulfills it while also being portable, maneuverable and lightweight.

Without the HammerVac, keeping your worksite clean and safe while drilling into masonry or concrete also keeps you bogged down with cords, hoses and a shop vac. This is far from an ideal working arrangement. On another hand, Milwaukee’s vacuum unit attaches directly to the tool, it moves with you without hoses, collects debris at the source and pulls power from it’s own 12V RedLithium lithium ion battery. The thing also has a 3-mode switch with an auto-on feature; the auto-on turns the vacuum on and off automatically with the hammer you’re using. Helpful, right?

The 2306-22 also delivers a super-powerful suction for optimal dust collection and because the vac weighs only 3.3-lbs, difficult applications (like horizontal, overhead or extended use projects) are easier on your back and body. The HammerVac uses replaceable certified HEPA filters for the best possible particle filtration and because you can replace the filter independently of the dust-box, keeping a fresh filter and, thus, optimized dust control is still cost-effective.

The 2306-22 HammerVac Extractor Kit includes two M12 RedLithium lithium ion batteries, a thirty-minute lithium ion charger, a carrying case, HEPA filter, nozzle and three side handle clamping collar assemblies. The extractor kit also offers a five year warranty on the tool and a two year warranty on the batteries. Because the battery that powers this vac is compatible across the entire M12 system, Milwaukee has also made the HammerVac available in a smaller kit without the batteries and charger. The 2306-20 includes everything from the 2306-22 kit excluding the two RedLithium batteries and the M12 lithium ion charger.

Altogether, this is a really great kit and an excellent product. Without a doubt, the HammerVac will keep you cleaner, safer and more efficient on the job.

Steps For Replacing Your Dewalt D55168 Compressor Belt (N011005)

With a 3/8 inch wrench, loosen the idler assembly screw. If your old belt is still in position, loosening the screw will release the tension on your belt.

Loosen and remove your connecting rod bolt, then move connecting rod from the bearing support. Make sure you leave the piston in the cylinder.

If your old belt is still on the compressor, remove it.

If you are using the A12210 belt, place the lettering on the belt against the flywheel. If you are using the N011005 belt, place the lettering away from the flywheel.

Replace your connecting rod and tighten down the bolt. The bolt must be tightened to 100-120 foot pounds

Tighten your idler screw to 40 inch pounds

To properly tension your belt, using a 5/8 inch wrench rotate the idler assembly clockwise. Then rotate the flywheel a few times to equalize the tension. If you have a belt tension guage, it should read between 60 to 80 pounds. The idler assembly should be locked into place between 84 to 120 inch pounds.

Ensuring users have a compact saw with industrial power, Dewalt has created a masterpiece with this table saw; a portable masterpiece you can use to work better on the job and consistently produce better results.

The DW744RXS offers an exclusive telescoping fence. This design delivers an ideal ripping capacity of 24-1/2-inches while also retracting into a neat and portable package. Essentially, the fence provides greater capacity without compromising portability. The fence is also built with rack and pinion rails, a feature that renders your fence adjustments super smooth and accurate (really, they’re super-smooth). The saw additionally features a roomy, durable table top and offers a large cutting capacity to ensure you can complete virtually any project with ease and power to spare (table top: 26-1/2-inches X 19-1/4-inches | cut capacity: 3-1/8-inches depth of cut at 90-degrees and 2-1/4-inches at 45-degrees).

Dewalt’s DW744XRS also boasts a 15-Amp, high-performance motor. Electronic feedback maintains speed during difficult applications and thanks to 3,650 RPMs, the motor has the power to smoothly cut through pressure treated lumber and hardwoods. The motor additionally features a soft-start which reduces aggressive torque at start-up, thus, improving motor performance and extending the life of the motor and gearing. That 15-Amp motor is also designed to reduce vibration during use; with a heavy-duty internal stabilizer, vibration is kept to an absolute minimum.

The DW744XRS also includes an incredibly sturdy stand. The stand features four legs that splay and lock (similar to a card table) and though it can’t roll while set-up, the stand is surprisingly heavy-duty. This makes it much easier to work with large or heavy workpieces and allows you to easily remove the saw.

Altogether, Dewalt’s DW744XRS is powerful, deadly accurate, simple to use and super sturdy. This is basically everything you want from a portable table saw, and while you may find more affordable options, if you can spare the extra bills, this is a saw you definitely won’t regret investing in. – The DW744XRS includes a 2-inch dust port (connects to a vac for dust extraction), a 24-tooth carbide blade, miter gauge, push stick and the miraculous DW7440RS rolling table saw stand.

This is a tool with no real parallel – a tool that offers superior features and totally ethereal performance. With it’s patented Gravity Rise technology and Bosch’s standard of excellence in design and functionality, the table saw delivers mouth watering results and super-smooth operation.

To begin, the saw is built around a powerful 15-Amp motor delivering 3,650 RPM. This allows you to get into any project with total confidence in your saw’s ability to finish it. The 4100-09 is also built with a seriously heavy-duty construction. It’s durable and specifically designed to withstand the inevitable hardships of jobsite life. Combining form and function, the table saw is also coated with a powder paint finish. The result is a great looking tool with maximized longevity.

Despite offering such a heavy-duty construction, the 4100-09 is also surprisingly portable. The tool’s enhanced haulability and collapsible design make transportation simple and stress-free while also virtually eliminating a crafter’s constant struggle with storage and space requirements.

The table saw’s patented Gravity-Rise wheeled stand is smooth and simple to operate. It’s also incredibly sturdy and, thanks to those wheels, allows users to move the saw and stand together without disassembling its set-up. The stand’s unique ease-of-use makes the reality of set-up and take down much less daunting and, thanks again to those 8″ treaded wheels, the tool maneuvers comfortably throughout difficult jobsite environments.

Designed with uncommon power, precision and authority, the table saw is built to bring craftsmen an accurate and unrelenting table saw, one that moves with you and works until the job is done. The Gravity Rise stand additionally ups the ante with simple and total reliability. Altogether, Bosch’s 4100-09 is a terrific portable table saw with the guts to work harder and the bells and whistles to do it accurately.
