How to Assemble The Makita BTD141 Impact Driver Sleeve Assembly

The first step is to carefully insert the two steel balls into their slots. You’ll have to hold your impact driver vertically facing down in order to properly seat the balls. Keep your driver in that configuration until you slip on the sleeve.

With your impact wrench still facing down, slip on your sleeve.

With your sleeve in place you won’t have to worry about the steel balls slipping out of place. Now just insert the compression spring.

Now place your flat washer at the end of the compression spring and compress the spring into the sleeve.

While holding the flat washer into place, roll the ring spring into its slot. This will keep everything together.
